Dune du Pilat

Overlooking the Bassin d'Arcachon, the Dune du Pilat offers an exceptional panorama between the Atlantic Ocean, the Landes forest and the shifting sandbanks. At the top, a unique spectacle unfolds, where the tides continuously shape the landscape.

Ile aux Oiseaux

Accessible only by boat, Île aux Oiseaux is a preserved natural area, home to remarkable flora and fauna. The famous cabanes tchanquées, true emblems of the Bassin, stand in the middle of the changing waters, witnesses to a unique oyster farming heritage.

Oyster farming villages

In the heart of the oyster harbours of the Bay, producers continue to practise authentic traditional methods. Settled in typical huts, visitors can enjoy fresh oysters accompanied by a glass of white wine, facing the calm waters of the lagoon.

The ‘Ville d’Hiver’ neighbourhood

A veritable open-air museum, this historic district of Arcachon is distinguished by its sumptuous 19th-century villas, featuring a variety of architectural influences. With its lush gardens and elegant façades, it bears witness to the splendour of the Belle Époque and the refinement of the seaside resort.
